Mostert wins opening Glacier Junior Series event

Dylan Mostert became the first golfer on this year’s Glacier Junior Series to qualify for the National Final with his victory in the Selwyn Nathan Tournament at Houghton Golf Club on Sunday.

The 15-year-old Mostert won the opening tournament on the 2014 Glacier Junior Series with a round of 69 for a two-stroke victory over Cameron Walker and Karabo Mokoena.

This was the first of 21 tournaments on the nationwide series. The junior golfers will be competing for a place in the National Final at the end of the year, and ultimately an all-expenses paid trip to the prestigious Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship in the United States.
