Southern Cape and Central Gauteng got off to a flying start in the third round Foursomes, while Eastern Province and Mpumalanga are back in the B-Section battle for promotion after a solid morning at the South African U-19 Inter-Provincial Championship in Worcester on Wednesday.

Southern Cape stunned defending champions Western Province 4 – 0, while Central Gauteng also celebrated a whitewash in their match against Boland at Worcester Golf Club.

Ekurhuleni managed to draw 2-all against Boland, but they will start the Singles on the back foot against Central.

Sentanio Minnie and Dylan Mostert combined to win 5 & 4, but Central Gauteng won two games and Kyle Barker and David Meyers drew the final game against Burt Gildenhuys and Vaughn van Deventer to lead 2.5 – 1.5.

Eastern Province bounced back with strong performance in the Foursomes and will start the Singles 3 – 1 up on Free State and 4 – 0 up Northern Cape.

Northern Cape will really have to rally this afternoon after also receiving a 0 – 4 hiding from Free State, while Mpumalanga also scored a clean sweep against Limpopo to lead 4 – 0.
