The pressure is mounting in today’s fourth round of the South African Junior Interprovincial as Western Province, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng North turned up the volume in this morning’s foursomes at Paarl Golf Club.

Province came back strong after a third round loss and Central Gauteng will have to find a fifth gear as they start the singles 3-1 down to the defending champions.

Eastern Province will also need to launch a full assault to prevent Gauteng North from extending their 3-1 lead, while Ekurhuleni, who defeated Province on Wednesday, will have to fire on all cylinders to level the score against KwaZulu-Natal as the coastal side hunt their first victory this week from a 3-1 foursomes lead.

In the B-Section, Border will need to find the form that saw them thump both Boland and Free State & Northern Cape in the third round.

The Eastern Cape side are 2-all with Southern Cape, but only claimed half a point against Limpopo, who also thumped Southern Cape to take a 3-1 into the singles.

Mpumalanga look to be firmly in the drivers’ seat with a 4-1 lead over Free State & Northern Cape.
