Nomads SA Boys U15 Strokeplay Championship Day 2

29 Apr 2012

Jovan Rebula

To-day’s 2nd round of the NOMADS SA Boys U15 Strokeplay Championship at Somerset West Golf Club saw some changes to the leaderboard with Southern Cape’s Jovan Rebula taking a 2 shot lead into round three. Jovan recorded a 74 today after yesterday’s 75. The conditions tested the players again with strong gusting winds making it most uncomfortable. In 2nd position is Kwazulu Natal’s Keaton Bottriell on 151 (77 & 74) with Gauteng North’s Rosswell Sinclair on 152 (76 & 76). Ekurhuleni’s Kyle McClatchie recorded a workmanlike 75 after his 78 of yesterday. In joint 5th position is the three Western Province players Steven Raath (76 & 78), Luca Filippi (78 & 76), Alistair Snowdon (78 & 76) and Free State’s Therion Nel (80 & 74).

The team competition is heading for an exciting climax with Central Gauteng (777), Western Province (779), Kwazulu Natal (784) and Southern Cape (785).

To-morrow promises great competitive golf with the possibility of late rain.
